FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


+ How many people can your venue accommodate?

The McGinnity Room can comfortably seat 200 guests for a wedding ceremony and reception with space for a dance floor; 225 for a social or corporate dinner (no dance floor); or up to 340 guests with a cocktail-table-only layout. Note that every event is unique with its own designs so additional factors do play a role.

+ How does catering work?

We are proud to offer our own in-house catering options that include tableware and support staff. We offer buffet options, carving stations, and can accommodate most special meal options for those with dietary restrictions. Let our team work with you to create the perfect food experience for you and your guests!

+ Can I bring in my own desserts?

Yes! We have flexibility with outside desserts as we understand that our guests have a wide range of preferences when it comes to sweet treats. While you are welcome to use your own preferred outside vendor please also know that we do have dessert options on our menus.

+ Can I bring in my own alcohol?

No. The McGinnity Room has a full liquor license and is responsible for maintaining control over all liquor served on our premises. For this reason we do not allow any outside alcohol to be brought on the premises. Our bar is always fully-stocked and we offer a variety of affordable hosted bar options that you can add to any package. If you would like alcohol in our bridal suite on your wedding day, please ask as we can provide champagne, mimosas, liquor or if you have a special preference just let us know!

+ What does the McGinnity Room team do on my event day?

Our event coordinators and staff are on site during your event from start to finish to make sure your event runs smoothly. We set up and maintain all McGinnity Room inventory, help you check-in, work with your vendors, assist with your timeline, greet guests and much more.

+ Can I bring in my own decorations?

Absolutely! We love it when clients bring in decorations to create their own personal touch. We just ask that you run your decorating ideas by your event coordinator first to ensure that they are all McGinnity Room approved. For example, please don’t bring in any confetti, glitter, flame candles, or sparklers.

+ Do you have parking?

Yes! You and your guests can park for free in the lot on the corner of Browne & Pacific. There is also ample metered parking, several two-hour free parking spots, and two public pay lots within two blocks of our building.

+ Do you offer a military discount?

Absolutely! We extend a 10% discount off all our wedding packages to active duty members, Reservists, National Guard members, and Veterans. Thank you for your service!
